The Yurt is fully lined/insulated with its own log burning stove, electricity, tea/coffee making facilities, double bed and lounge. The bathroom is located in the main house, and features underfloor heating and a Victorian round stone bath made for two people a powerful over head shower and a hand shower. A real spar experience.

Melanie is a wonderful, warm and generous host and made us feel extremely welcome. The Croft itself is beautiful and really interesting historically with all modern home comforts, including a very comfy bed with heated blanket, amazing round bath, and a great selection of teas, coffee and treats. The home cooked breakfast was special, quite honestly the most delicious I've ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and I'm just sorry we couldn't have stayed longer!

We had a lovely welcome from our host and her family. We all loved the breakfast, super yummy and it was good that our host made it in front of so we knew it was nice and fresh. I was under the impression that I'd booked a deluxe triple room so was a bit surprised that when I printed out the confirmation that it was a yurt. First time for all of us in a yurt and apart from the walk to the bathroom in the main house it was a good experience.

A lovely unique experience. Felt immediately welcomed into Melanie's home. Having a leisurely breakfast chatting around the kitchen table whilst Melanie prepared a gorgeous breakfast was a great finish to what had been a perfect week exploring some of Scotland. The house is just stunning and being made to feel really part of it rather than just another guest was really special.

Loved the design and wood burning fire. Breakfast was delicious. Owner is a real character and is an active part of your stay. The lounge is also their own lounge and dining area. Lovely wee dog who will snuggle with you; cats around too. We stayed in the yurt the first night although we hadn’t booked it. It was an experience! Probably better in summer though☺️

In the morning we were provided with an amazing breakfast; whisky porridge and toast with avocado and a poached egg. It was a very welcoming warm experience staying here.
